Hoping to move to Jefferson
A very experienced activities director will join the Greene County Schools staff as of July 1.
Todd Gordon, activities director at Des Moines Roosevelt High School and the president of the Iowa High School Athletic Directors Association, has accepted the position.
He told GreeneCountyNewsOnline that he and his wife Deb hope to move to Jefferson. “We are looking forward to moving back to a smaller community and being a part of that again,” he said. “We are both from a small town, Griswold, and want to return and live in that type of community.”
Gordon is in his 14th year as a high school activities director. He started his AD career in Treynor in 2005. After seven years he moved to Carlisle and was AD there for three years before taking the position at Des Moines Roosevelt in 2015.
He and his wife have three grown, married children and four grandchildren. They live in Ogden, Des Moines and Norwalk.
“I have heard so many positive things about the Greene County School, staff and community that make me very excited, humbled and honored to come serve the school and community,” Gordon said.
